Ny adjunkt - Hannah Elizabeth Early Bagdanov
Hi everyone!
My name is Hannah Early Bagdanov, and I'm joining the Department as an Assistant Professor. I'll be part of the International Politics section. I completed my PhD at the University of Notre Dame, and my research and teaching focus broadly on conflict, political behavior, and state and non-state governance in the Middle East.
My book project examines the political behavior of civilians in contexts of conflict, with particular attention to how Palestinians in East Jerusalem engage with the state in seeking public goods and social services. The project draws on 14 months of field research in East Jerusalem, and extensive field-based research is a hallmark of my scholarship.
Outside of work, I enjoy rowing and am curious about getting involved with the Aarhus Roklub. An ideal Saturday for me involves browsing a farmer's market or flea market, or taking a coffee to a nearby playground with my husband and young kids. If that sounds like how you might spend your Saturday, we would love to meet up! We're eager to learn Danish and explore Aarhus.
You're most welcome to drop by my office (1331-313) for coffee or a chat. My door is also open to throw around research ideas, problem solve sticking points, or to discuss new projects. I'd love to meet and get to know you, and to learn more about all of the innovative and world-class projects you are working on.
