Ny ph.d.-studerende - Rebecca Vestergaard
Hi everyone!
My name is Rebecca, and I am one of the new PhD students who started at the department on September 1st. You may have seen me around the department before, as I have done both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees here at Aarhus University. I have also taught as a TA in Public Policy and Public Administration.
My project is about party professionalization, and I am interested in how it shapes the representative relationship between political parties and voters e.g. in what ways professionalization shape policy congruence and voters’ perception of party legitimacy. I look forward to getting started and to working with my supervisors Helene Helboe Pedersen and Mathias Wessel Tromborg. I will be part of the Political Behavior and Institutions section.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading fiction, running, going for a swim in the ocean, and going to concerts. I am always happy to talk about book or TV series recommendations, as well as restaurants and cultural events in Aarhus.
Feel free to stop by my office (1340-130) for coffee or a chat. I look forward to meeting you all.
