Ny ph.d.-studerende: Pernille Lundby Dokkedal

Hi everyone,
My name is Pernille and I am one of the new PhD-students at the department. I have done both my bachelor and my masters in political science here – so you can safely say that I feel at home.
My project will focus on the development of the EU’s new defence industrial policies, and whether (and how) the European Commission have succeeded in gradually empowering its own and the EU's role in defence politics. My project will touch upon negoitation, strategies and the integration of European defence. Last year I spent a semester at the Danish Embassy in the Netherlands as an EU-political intern, which also allowed me to get an insight into the EU member state viewpoint.
You will find me in the section of public administration, where I will be be in good hands with my supervisor Jens Blom-Hansen and co-supervisor Derek Beach. If anyone thinks EU politics is interesting, do not hestiate to send me an e-mail, or stop by my office for a coffee (1332-223). Moreover, I am always ready to meet over a beer or glass of wine to discuss the latest drama in world politics.
Apart from being an ”EU-nerd” I also love to travel, try new cuisines (georgian food being one of the favorites), dance & music, read books, and go for long walks in nature.
I look forward to working with all of you!
