New Research Assistant - Oliver Cohen
Hi everyone!
My name is Oliver, and I recently started as a research assistant here at the department. Some of you might recognize me, as I completed both my bachelor’s and master’s degree in political science here at AU – having finished the latter just a couple of months ago.
I am very excited to join the “POLABROAD” project with Roman Senninger where we will study how and why politicians select and use policies from abroad. The aim of the project is to get a better understanding of the actors that decide whether to adopt policies from abroad, which has been a highly debated topic during recent political crises like the Covid-19 pandemic and the public burning of religious texts in Denmark.
Outside of work I am very interested in music, and usually frequent different festivals during the summer – and I especially love to nerd out about hip-hop music. I am also an avid sports fan, that likes to spend time watching football, basketball, and American football.
Feel free to drop by my office (1341 – 122) anytime for chat. I look forward to meeting you all in the coming months!
