Hi!

My name is Floris, and I have just started here as a PhD student. Some of you may have seen me wandering around last year, but now I should be here for a longer period. I am very happy to be back in Aarhus and at this department, and I am looking forward to my time here.

During this time, I will be working on EU regulation. More specifically, I will try to find out why, despite many stakeholders claiming the importance of deregulation for several decades now, complaints about red tape do not seem to have decreased. On the contrary, it has become an ever more important topic in politics. I am very honoured to be supervised by Jens Blom-Hansen and Peter Bjerre Mortensen in this endeavour.

Otherwise, I like spending my time outdoors: biking, backpacking, mountaineering, and such. Or, when temperatures rise too high, you can find me inside, where I like to read, cook, or do some occasional gaming.
