My name is David and I recently arrived in Aarhus from The Arctic University of Norway, where I’m working on my PhD at the Institute of Philosophy.

My research project will focus on the relationship between climate justice and animal rights, specifically examining the challenges of taking animal rights seriously in the context of human-induced climate change. I aim to explore what it means to include animals in climate justice frameworks, particularly regarding the ethics of climate change mitigation and the implications for the types of measures we can pursue.

During my time at Aarhus University, I will be working on two papers. The first will address the ethics of climate change mitigation for animals, while the second will investigate the implications for mitigation measures if we take animals’ interests seriously.

Outside of academia, I love reading, playing music, experimenting in the kitchen and spending time with my kids.

I’m excited to be in Aarhus and look forward to engaging conversations, new collaborations and meeting you all. Feel free to stop by my office (1340-262) for a chat or a coffee!
