Hi everyone,

My name is Astrid, and I just started as a research assistant on June 1st at the Leadership Center here at the department. I finished my master’s degree from the institute in 2020 and have since then worked in the Danish central administration. First, I worked at the Ministry of Employment with the Danish budgetary law and expenditures and policy on parental leave among other things. My most recent job at the Ministry of the Interior and Health involved providing secretarial support to the Health Structure Commission. I look forward to applying my experiences as a civil servant in an academic context.

Starting at the Leadership Center has felt like “coming home” because I worked here as a student assistant during my studies. At the Leadership Center, I will be working on climate leadership, including a project on "Public Leadership Communication and Citizen Climate Beliefs, Attitudes, and Behavior." Additionally, I will be working on leadership in the healthcare sector. More projects will probably follow.

At the moment, I am spending a lot of my free time preparing for the big move from Copenhagen to Aarhus. I enjoy spending time in nature, running, and swimming in the sea, so I am looking forward to having both nature and the sea closer by. I am also a proficient knitter.

Don’t hesitate to drop by my office (1340-342) to chat about leadership in general or specifically in the health care sector or the central administration. I look forward to meeting you all.
