Hi everyone,

My name is Emilie, and I started as a PhD student here at the department on February 1st. My PhD project examines how mental health digital solutions reconfigure psychiatric treatment practices. I intend to conduct a mixed-method study, which includes a survey, qualitative interviews with professionals and patients, as well as ethnographic observations.

I hold a bachelor's and master's degree in sociology from the University of Copenhagen and belong to the Sociology Section here at the department. I am currently commuting between Copenhagen and Aarhus to get the best of both worlds. I am usually in Aarhus Monday to Wednesday and for festive events on Fridays, which I would not miss. My main supervisor is Lars Thorup Larsen, and my co-supervisor is Anne Mette Møller.

In my leisure time, I enjoy good food, beer, and wine (I am flexible 😊). I am  also into running and excited for spring to arrive so I can run more outside. Though not yet acquainted with Aarhus, I know it is surrounded by beautiful nature, so that is something I am looking forward to exploring.

Feel free to drop by my office (1331, 222) anytime for a chat – my door is always open. I am eager to meet everyone and grateful for the warm welcome I have already received.

All the best,

Emilie
