New Postdoc
Hi everyone!
My name is Lei, and I've recently joined the team at CEPDISC as a postdoc, collaborating with Dr. Lotte Thomsen. My academic journey has taken me around the globe, from earning my BA in Applied Psychology at Chongqing University in China to completing my PhD in Social Psychology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands, and now landing in this beautiful country of Denmark.
My research focuses on the evolutionary psychological underpinnings of social norms, transgressions, and the dynamics of power and morality. I'm particularly fascinated by how these forces interact to shape behavior and societal structures, especially through the lenses of discrimination and threat coping. I enjoy employing a combination of methods in my work, from traditional surveys and experiments to genetic/biological analyses, as well as semantic LLMs. I am also active in Open Science. I am looking forward to advancing my research here at CEPDISC in the upcoming years.
Outside the lab, I'm passionate about the art of modern recurve archery. I also find joy in swimming and exploring exotic food cultures — both in tasting and cooking. Additionally, I have expertise in wines and spirits and would be glad to offer any advice. As a dedicated player of JRPGs (FF XIV specifically), if you share a love for RPGs, don't hesitate to drop me a message.
My door at office 1340-250 is always open, whether you're keen to discuss the latest research, exchange life tips, share recipes, or just grab a coffee and chat. I'm thrilled to be part of this community and am looking forward to getting to know each of you.
