Nicholas Haas receives a best paper award for his paper “My History or Our History? Historical Revisionism and Entitlement to Lead", co-authored with Emmy Lindstam. The International Society of Political Psychology (ISPP) is behind the award. The paper has previously been honoured with a APSA Experimental Research Section’s Best Paper Award in 2022.

In the paper, Nicholas Haas and his co-author show that inclusive historical narratives that emphasize marginalised communities' positive contributions to the nation increase marginalised individuals' willingness to pursue leadership roles.

“We are so grateful for this recognition, and thankful to the award committee and ISPP for this honor. This award gives us the confidence to pursue further research in this area. Stay tuned!” says Nicholas Haas about receiving the award at this year’s ISPP conference in Montreal.

Nicholas Haas thus joins the ranks of researchers from the Department of Political Science who have received the Roberta Sigel early career scholar paper award as Michael Bang Petersen and Lasse Laustsen received it in 2013, and Rune Slothuus received it in 2012.
