On May 1st I started to work as a senior researcher at the Danish Centre for Studies in Research and Research Policy (CFA).

In the coming years, I will be mainly involved in the PROSECON project in which we try to improve our understanding of the way funding mechanisms influence the outcomes of public research. We will conduct case studies in Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands.

I received my Ph.D. in Political Science and Sociology from the Complutense University in Madrid, Spain. I have continued to conduct research and work in this field since then. In particular, I have applied my disciplinary training mainly to the field of research and innovation policy, with a focus on university-industry cooperation, knowledge transfer processes and the factors underlying the generation of scientific and societal impacts of research.

The combination of research and policy in my career trajectory has provided me with insights as both a producer and user of academic knowledge. Complementarily, as an expert on national science and innovation policy for the European Commission, I have participated in the Research and Innovation Observatory (RIO) series of annual country reports and in the evaluation of proposals submitted to H2020 Societal Challenge 6.

My research interests also include both the analysis of gender differences in science-society interactions and parliamentary science advice.

I am looking forward to this new working and living experience in Aarhus.
