Ny ph.d.-studerende: Amalie Trangbæk

Amalie Trangbæk er ny 4+4 ph.d.-studerende.

12.09.2017 | Ingrid Marie Fossum

My name is Amalie Trangbæk and I am a new 4+4 PhD student at the department. This spring presented numerous empirical cases where the interplay between the civil servants and politicians were in focus; for instance, when civil servants from the Ministry of Environment and Food of Denmark leaked an audio file where the minister speaks critically of the right of access to documents. My PhD project seeks to investigate the development in the interplay between politicians and civil servants in Denmark (and possibly outside of Denmark as well). Jens Blom-Hansen and Peter Bjerre Mortensen will be supervising the project.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Aarhus University (and will hold a master’s degree from the department within the first two years of my employment). In the fall semester of 2016, I studied abroad at Columbia University. I studied the politics and governing of New York City and the American political institutions at the national, state, and local level.

Feel free to stop by room 113, building 1331 to chat. I look forward to getting to know you all!
