New senior researcher at CFA: Maria-Theresa Norn
Maria-Theresa Norn works part-time at CFA. When she's not here, she works as Head of Analysis in DEA, a non-profit think tank on education, science and innovation policy.

I'm honored and happy to join the department in a part-time (10 percent) position as Senior Researcher at The Danish Centre for Studies in Research and Research Policy. When I'm not at AU, I work as Head of Analysis in DEA, a non-profit think tank on education, science and innovation policy in Copenhagen.
I have a PhD in science and innovation policy from 2007 from the Department of Innovation and Organisational Economics (INO) at the Copenhagen Business School. During my PhD, I was a Visiting PhD Fellow at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), University of Sussex, and affiliated with the Danish Research Unit on Industrial Dynamics (DRUID).
I worked as an Assistant Professor at INO until 2009, where I left academia to gain greater insight into the policy community that I was doing research on. I worked in the policy consulting firm DAMVAD until moving to the think tank DEA in 2012.
My main research interests are: university-industry relations; academic engagement; incentives and outcomes for academic researchers of engaging in non-academic collaborations; mechanisms for allocation of research funding; science communication; research and innovation policy in general.
I look forward to meeting and working with you all.
