Hi! I´m Lucilla and I am a new PhD at CFA. I did my Master in Sociology and Social Research between the University of Trento, Italy, and Tilburg University, Netherlands, and I finished in 2019. During and after my Master I have been an assistant to the European Values Study (EVS) team at Tilburg University where I had the opportunity to witness a survey project in the making. In the first half of the 2020 I have been a research assistant at the research centre “Digital Wellbeing” at the University of Milan-Bicocca, where I collaborated in studies on adolescents´ digital media use.

I am interested in the challenges that digital societies set for citizens. In the past I have worked on people´s trust in health professionals as sources of information and on adolescent´s digital habits and wellbeing. Now, I aim to widen my understanding of the role that science has among citizens considering the influence of aspects as education, digitalization, online circulation of information and exposition to different sources and argumentations. I plan to do this with a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods relying on data from surveys and social networks.

Niels Mejlgaard and Lise Degn will supervise my project.
