Ny ph.d.-studerende: Andreas Bengtson

I sit ph.d.-projekt sigter Andreas Bengtsom på at besvare det normative spørgsmål, om hvem som bør være med til at bestemme, hvilket klimapolitik vi skal føre.

My name is Andreas Bengtson and I am a new PhD student at the department. I have just finished writing my thesis under the title: “If You’re An Egalitarian, How Come You’re Not a Hypocrite? Hypocrisy and Affirmative Action” in which I was supervised by Kasper Lippert-Rasmussen.

My PhD project is titled “Who ought to decide on the climate of the future? An inquiry in democratic theory”. As the title illustrates, I aim to answer the normative question concerning who ought to be included in the demos deciding which climate policy to pursue. That is, I will try to answer questions such as: Should (possible) future generations be included in the decision-making? If future generations ought to be included in the decision-making, should they have the same weight in the process as the people currently alive? I am supervised by Kasper Lippert-Rasmussen and Søren Flinch-Midtgaard.

I am very excited to start this project and to be a part of the Department. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
