Lene Hjøllund er ny sekretariatsleder

Lene Hjøllund har været ansat som institutsekretariatsleder i nogle måneder og siger selv, det er på tide, at hun præsenterer sig.

My name is Lene Hjøllund, and I have been with the Department as head of secretariat for a couple of months now. So, I guess it is about time for me to make my introduction.

My professional background consists of more than 12 years of working with administration and strategy, primarily at the Faculty level of Aarhus BSS (and the former Faculty of Social Sciences). This means that I have a thorough understanding of the workings of the “big machine” of the administration.

I hold an MSc in Economics (proper economics - not business economics, that is), so to some extent I can actually relate to most of the many interesting research fields of the department. But I certainly do hope to learn more about it all along the way, as well.

I live with my husband and two teenage children in an old villa that we have spent far too much energy on bringing up-to-date. When not working on the house or in the garden, I enjoy seeing friends and family. I also enjoy travelling – my favorite destinations are the old European cities, and the many fantastic natural sites worldwide, especially mountainous areas with good hiking possibilities.

I am very happy to have joined the Department, and look forward to getting to know you all.
