Trine Høj Fjendbo will investigate how gender might moderate the relationship between leadership and performance.
My name is Trine Høj Fjendbo and I am a new PhD student at the department. I hold both a BSc and MSc from this department, and I am very delighted to be back. I will be in the Public Administration section to investigate how gender might moderate the relationship between leadership and performance.
My project is about whether different leadership styles have a different effect on performance depending on the gender of the employee. Furthermore, I will look at whether this effect is moderated by the gender of the manager. I plan to study the relationship in Danish STX high schools with a mixture of survey and register data. The project is supervised by Vibeke Lehmann Nielsen and Christian Bøtcher Jacobsen.
